HubSpot document tracking: every view logged on the contact

HubSpot is coming soon. Email and Slack alerts work today.

Connect HubSpot and when a person you've identified opens a document (through their personal link or the email gate), Linkjar logs a note on their HubSpot contact with what they read and a link to the full analytics. If the contact doesn't exist yet, it's created. Your CRM shows who's engaged without anyone copying it over by hand.

Set it up

  1. 1

    Connect HubSpot

In Linkjar, open the workspace menu and choose Alerts & HubSpot, then press "Connect HubSpot". Approve access to contacts: Linkjar asks for nothing else.

  2. 2

Send each person their own link

Make a personal link for each prospect (free), or turn on the email gate (Pro) so viewers tell you who they are.

  3. 3

    Watch the contact timeline

Each view shows up as a note on the contact: who, where, pages read and time spent, with a link to the analytics.

HubSpot sync is on Business.

Questions

Are anonymous views logged in HubSpot?
No. A note needs an email to attach to, so only views from personal links or the email gate are logged. Anonymous views still show in Linkjar and in your email and Slack alerts.
What access does Linkjar need?
Read and write access to contacts, to find the contact by email (or create it) and add the note. Nothing else.
Does it create duplicate contacts?
No. Linkjar looks the contact up by email first and only creates one if it doesn't exist.
Can I disconnect?
Yes, any time, from the same settings page. Notes already logged stay in HubSpot.
