Linkjar Help

How do I get a QR code for my document?

Every PDF you upload to Linkjar automatically gets its own QR code, free, with no separate generator or design tool needed.

How to get your QR code

  1. Upload your PDF. You'll land on the PDF's settings page.
  2. From your dashboard, click QR code on the document.
  3. Click Download QR and you'll get a high-resolution PNG you can drop into a poster, print layout, or design.

Scanning the QR code opens your PDF just like your regular share link would.

Why it stays reliable

The QR code encodes your Linkjar share link, not the file itself. That means if you update the PDF, or change the document's slug or custom domain, the QR code still works and points to the latest version, so you never need to reprint it.

Other things to know

  • There's no cost for the QR code itself, it's included free with every uploaded PDF.
  • Scans are tracked the same way as any share link view, so you can see how much the QR code is getting used.
  • If the underlying PDF is password protected, that protection still applies when someone scans the code.

Paid plans are only needed if you want more documents, larger files, a custom domain, or to remove Linkjar branding.
